Conquer Your Fear of Flying
This is what you need to recognize to conquer your fear of flying for good! The reaction might be very familiar. Maybe even overly recognizable… The struggle in swallowing. Your legs feeling like rubber. The concern that you might tip over and fall any second now. You might have started losing your vision. You might feel so light headed that you need to rest on something – anything close enough – to prevent yourself from falling.
There was no air travel for me three years ago. In fact, even the thought of flying would cause me to have a small panic attack. I hated it! I felt like I had no control over my life, over my mind, or over my body. I felt like I was a disappointment to my family, all of which loved to travel. I didn’t want to have this fear of flying anymore. I wanted to get rid of it forever. I used these feelings I was having as my fuel. The fuel that charged my decision that no matter what, I would triumph over my fear!
I decided I would overcome the fear of flying, and I had no plans to fail! Making a pronouncement and a true pledge to remove this fear from your life can actually do wonders. It could be the boost you required to really take the steps necessary to rise above your fear. When you start feeling afraid the next time, instead of giving in to it, get enraged. Get angry at your fear. Tell it to get out, and that you no longer will accept its presence in your life. You will be astonished at the positive results this will have. Stand up to the fear of flying! Determine that you will overcome your fear – no matter what!
